1993 Plymouth Acclaim 4 cyl Automatic 156000 miles

I have a 1993 plymouth acclaim and it only has 1 gear i was wonderin my buddy has a 96 acclaim with the same size motor are the transmissions interchangeable can i use his on my car

93 and 94 if same exact engine, may be interchangeable. 3-speed auto only. We never had this oppurtunity, but there the same if the engine matches and the trans is also a 3-speed. There is still the cooler and converter, they can't contaminate the system. The overdrive, no. no.
