my friend just bought a 91 acclaim that sat for 2 years without being touched. it burns oil badly. no leaks just bad burning. i also smell strong amounts or coolant in the oil. him and his dad say nothing is wrong and there is no coolant in the oil but i think the headgasket is cracked or something.... the car idles high, then almost dies out and keeps changing and it also has trouble accelerating from 20 - 40 it almost dies out. even tho we cannot find ANY leakage, he has to top up his oil 3-4 times a day. approx 1 litre per day. i am 100% shure i smell coolant in the oil... both my father and grandpa are retired mechanics and even tho i am only 17 i have had my fair share of cars and i work at penzoil, changing oil. what is wrong with this damn acclaim??????

well if it is burning oil then you need either valve seals or piston rings. how is the coolant level?
