Plug wire placement on distributor

So on the car listed above I4, I have the firing order but I am finding 3 different diagrams for plug wiring to the distributor. I'm already behind on getting this vehicle out of my garage and it's driving me nuts. I don't have Mitchell or Prodemand anymore so I'm kinda stuck.

Okay, I have it wired up right now thanks. Now the issue is a hard start and super rough idle I'm lost now. Thought it might have been the plugs and wires now I'm thinking it's the IAC or possibly something else I haven't found yet. Any ideas?

Hello again,

Yes, it could very well be a problem with the idle speed or the Idle Air Control valve[IAC]. In the diagrams down below I have included the instructions from the vehicle manufacturer for the inspection and adjustment of the idle speed for your vehicle. Please go through this guide and report back here with what you find out.

Idle speed is erratic at best. Fluctuates between 235ish and 400ish when trying to idle. When accelerator is applied slightly it runs a bit smoother(it seems like it at least) but you can tell just by how it sounds its not right. I cleaned the IAC and rechecked the plugs and wires just to be sure and it still did the exact same thing. I did note a few things I missed before though. It looks like a rodent might have gotten into the engine bay. The O2 sensor connector is gone and so is the oil pressure sensor connector(both on the wiring harness side. I have been checking grounds now and found one that was chewed gonna solder it back up and see if that does anything.

The ground is definitely important as it completes a circuit or circuits. The O2 sensor, if it is the upstream sensor, the one closest to the engine, It will definitely make your vehicle run and idle poorly, as long as it is warmed up and trying to go to closed loop operation. The upstream O2 sensor, is what the Power-train Control Module[PCM], or "computer", uses to control the air/fuel ratio. If the wires are damaged on the sensor side then the O2 sensor will need to be replaced. If the damage is done on the wiring harness side, then it can be repaired. lease keep us informed as to your progress.

Fixed the ground wire and now it starts easily every time but still runs really bad. I'm going to replace the o2 sensor and see what that does.

Hello again,

A bad O2 sensor will throw a Direct Trouble Code[DTC] and turn on your vehicle's Malfunction Indicator Lamp[MIL], or "check engine" light. Have you adjusted the idle speed per previous diagrams that we sent?
