Hello everyone, I just got my 2018 1.6 L BiTurbo Vivaro, and the DMF was making terrible noise. Took it apart, and found a new clutch disk and pressure plate.
Someone was in there and there were all kinds of missing bolts in the process.
Please tell me, is there a Pilot bearing? Should there be one in there? The spline size is much smaller than the hole in the crank, and don't know if it is okay to put together the way it is.
This guy was amazing, but he can't tell me either:

Hello,

Please see image below, the crankshaft has a pilot bearing, item 15
OE part number 95517854.

Please pay attention when fitting the new DMF, there is no locating pin, only a small indent in the crankshaft rear face where the sight hole lines up.
See image 2

Hope this helps.

Cheers, Boris

Thanks so much for your answer. I will check it out tomorrow and order the bearing. Can't believe how fast your answer came.

Outer, input shaft measurements.

Hello Boris, I am having problems finding that part number. Maybe because mine is an Opel and I am in Croatia? Is that number for Vauxhal? I tried your number and found cross reference number 44 23 028 but nobody here seems to stock it. Maybe it is a dealer only item?
Also, I think there is a bearing in there already Photo 1, but the inner bearing measures +/- 20.5 yet the input shaft spline measures +/- 16.3
I don’t know if that is normal? As I said, things have been done here by the previous owner.

Got a reply today from Schaeffler, I asked them for a pilot bearing: Opel OE catalog number 95517854 does not belong to the Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket product range.
As far as we have been able to check, it can only be ordered through an authorized Opel service network.

Hello,

The part number provided is directly from the Vauxhall/Opel EPC.
It is usually not a service item, meaning we do not have any wear issues.
You most likely will have to order it from an authorized Opel dealer.

The pilot bearing is replaceable, as per image below

I unfortunately we have no dimensions for the new pilot bearing

Thanks for the answer. I got out the bushing that was a mismatch in the crank. Ordering a bearing tomorrow. Good luck to you too.
