Engine Mechanical problem
1996 Other Peugeot Models Manual 81771 miles
My car is a Peugeot 406 LX 1.8 L (1996).
The engine stalls each time the gas pedal is not applied eg: at traffic lights, during parkings.
To maintain the engine from not stalling, I need to put some gas on it and this produces a lot of emission from the exhaust (happens at traffic light stops).
Initially i thought it was the spark plugs. I have changed all four of them. The problem was resolved for almost 2 weeks. But suddenly it reappears.
Could someone give me an advice about the problem and what should i do.
