I have a peugeot 505 stx. it has a 6 cyl fuel injected engine. The past few days when i have been driving it all of a sudden it will feel like the gas cuts out... the rpms stay the same but it wont accelerate any further it usually does it between 1900-2200 rpms.. it feels something like when you hit the max mph for the governor to kick in... but it happens at any speed for me. I can hear what i believe is my fuel pump and or filter making a buzzing sound. it has always made the sound since i purchased the car. I was thinking it may be my fuel filter that's causing my car to do this... is that a possibility? what are all the possibilities? thanks for your time!
