I have peugeot 307sw 2003 milage 92K. when I drive in long trafic jam above around 1 hour my engine stall, then I start again and run, but in few second engine stall again until I can not crank/start anymore. I waiting for 10 or 15 minute and engine working again, and can drive for long...... it only happen when I get 1 hour traffic jam..

I do diagnose next day, I run my engine in my gerage and idle....waiting about 1 hour in idle then my engine stall again. same symptoms.

I already change spark, fuel pump and ignation coil pack. the problem still happen.

in next day, I put some fan inside my engine that blow the air when in Idle, the result is my engine stall after 2 hours. if the fan do not turned it will be stall in 1 hour.

MY conclusion is something hot in my engine room. as you know when idle and engine stall all temperature engine is normal 90 dec.

I suspect crankshaft sensor (enginer speed sensor) it is posible this sensor can going bad when hot ? type of sensor magnetic or hall effect can be bad when it hot?

another info I alredy check the OBD code there are nothing error code.
and as your info If I running my car above 3-4 hours without long trafic jam my car is good, and doesn't stall.

please advice

both types of sensor can cause a stall/non start when hot .. replace the sensor ...
