Air Conditioning problem

Hello, the problem is that when i put the blower on the fan does not work, i can put it on and it will not work but leave it on for 5 min and it will start to work, it works for about 2 mins then goes off. when the fan does work it will only work on the maxium blow ie number 4 max it will not work on 1 to 3!
