2000 Peugeot 106 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I have put 5w-30 engine oil in my car and my neighbour is telling me this is wrong. I was told this would be ok. Please could you let me know if this is the right oil to use. thanx

this oil is not wrong .. you can use this oil if you change it regularly ... I would start using a 10w30 next time, simply because of the vehicles age and make sure you do regular oil/filter changes !!
