Passenger sliding door window not working properly

Do you have the trim panel off? If not, I would not remove the window until you remove the panel and operate the window up and down and see what this is making the noise. It could just be something in the bottom of the door or a nut has come loose and you just need to tighten it back up.

The blue outlined circle, is that where the window rests and those screws are found where in the black metal plate behind the exterior panel of the inside of the door?
How does the window hold up, just by the 2 screws?

Are you talking about how the window holds to the regulator? If so, yes, I believe that is it. I attached a close up of the window and it only shows two bolts.

Have you identified the cause of the noise?

So if I take those 2 bolts out, will the window drop to the floor?

Normally the window will sit on the bolts and you actually remove the nut that holds it in place. Then you slide the bottom of the window where the bracket is off the bolts and pull it out. This way when you remove the nuts it doesn't just drop. However, that would be the only thing holding it to the regulator. In order to get the window out you will more then likely need to drop one of the lower corners down into the door and then pull it up out of the door at an angle.

But how can you remove the nuts if they are behind the bolts?

Sorry, you are correct. The schematic that I attached previously shows the bolts go in the front and hold it in place. So yes, when you remove the bolts the window would drop so you need to have it held in place with suction cup straps or a helper holding the window.

So once I have the window held up, and I take the nuts and bolts out, how do I fix the problem. Do I need to remove the black metal plate holding everything together?
How about all the connections for the door, do I have to disconnect everything?
But if there are nuts and bolts and the nuts are in the other side of the window, won't they fall off?

With a schematic I would be able to identify my problem.

Maybe I am not understanding what you are looking for in a schematic because this is the only exploded type view the manual has of the internal components of the door.

Also, I was under the impression you already identified the issue as a loose component on the regulator. If not, then I would not remove the window until you find what the issue is. I would just remove the door panel and operate the window so that you can see what is making the noise. Then you will know what needs to come out to fix it.

I removed the panel, but I still can't tell what the problem is because it's behind the black metal bracket holding up everything. I don't want to go that route. Now, question, the hole plugs, is there a screw when removing the hole plugs and what screw is it? Secondly, where is the second hole plug? I don't see it in your diagram.

Can you get a picture of the door panel as it sits now? If I see what you are seeing, I am sure we can figure this out. Thanks

Since I don't want to open the door panel again, I just want to find out of possible solutions to the problem.

Well, that is an issue because I assume by black metal bracket you are talking about that is holding everything up, is the inner door panel and that does not come out. So you need to access the inner components through the openings in this panel. Then when you say a "hole plug," I am not sure what you are referring too so seeing it will get us on the same page.

Plus I don't know any other way to figure this out without removing the door panel. With the panel off and then you operate the window, trying to locate the part that is causing the issue is how this needs to be figured out.

No, the black metal plate is removable. There are bolts you can unscrew to remove it. There are about 6 of them with 2 of them been grounded bolts for the actuator motor and the electric door motor. I just didn't want to go into the time to do this since I don't have a lot of time with all the virtual learning and all for my kids.
The hole plug is in one of the schematic diagrams you sent me earlier. On the center, left side of the diagram as per the picture below. There should be another hole plug on the right side to be able to loosen the window from the actuator since the actuator is screwed to the inner side of the black metal plate.

Okay. Those hole plugs are just what they say. They are filling the openings in the panel so that you can remove them and more then likely access some bolts behind it. However, none of this is the approach we need to be taking to fix this issue. I am not sure how we will know what this is without removing the panel. I would suggest removing the door panel and getting a video of what this is doing so that we can get possible causes.

I get the kid thing so I would think we should just wait and not role the window down enough to make the noise. I doubt it is anything loose because you would have seen that when you had the panel off. More then likely there is something in the teeth and when the motor gear rolls over it, it is making noise.
