Passenger side always has outside air

Passenger side always has outside air coming into the mixture of both heater and A/C. So in colder weather the heater is cold on that side. In summer it is hot on that side. Is there some sort of actuator that controls a inlet and where is it situated? I seem to get the idea that the left and right are not independent! Also, this model is the CDX, any advice much appreciated thanks.

Yes there is a blend door actuator that control the fresh air. I have a guide that can help but yours might be in a different place (right hand drive?) Here is a guide that will help you see what you are in for when doing the job with diagrams of your car below:
