Passenger side heater blows only cold air

Most likely the temperature control actuator for the passenger side. It could be the temperature control door, but getting in and checking the motor would be the first step. It can be tested or replaced without pulling most of the dash apart. You remove the trim panel for the glove box area. Then the inner trim panel and the motor is on the end of the HVAC box.

I have a 2009 Chevy Impala. When I use the remote start the car starts but the heat does not come on. The heater gauge is on. Can you tell me the problem?

The car starts but the heater blows cold air and does not heat until I put the car in drive.

Yep, got a new actuator for $87.00 heat is nice again, been cold for too long :)

I get no heat when at an idle, but the heater workds great when moving at highway speeds. I've replaced the water pump and thermostat.

Had the same problem, took it to the dealer, they had a replace two gaskets on the crossover pipe an the theromostat, all covered under warrenty. They knew of the problem but only repaired it if you took it in.

2008 Chevy Impala.....We get NO heat when the car is idling. We we use the remote start the motor warms up but there is NO heat to the car. When we start driving then we get normal heat, until we stop at a stop light...then brr cold air. What could be the problem?

If you live in an extremely cold region, you may need to use a block heater?

You may need to flush your heater core. The water pump slows down at idle, not as much flow.

Car made clicking noise under dash couple of days ago now heater only blows cold air, no heat at all

first try pulling hvac fuse under dash for 60 seconds then reinstalling with key on and wait 60 seconds after install. it may reset actuator if not seeif actuator under dash is getting power generic pic included.

I have a 2008 impala 3.9 we bought new in 2009 and has about 65k on it.

To start, this past winter the heater would blow only cold air and would not warm up until 15 minutes into a drive. Even when idling for 30 minutes, the blowing air would still be cold until that 15 minute mark.

Last week, 5 minutes in to a short drive to the grocery store, the temp needle shot from the middle to the highest point, the temp lite came on and the dash message said "engine overheat idle engine". 5-10 minutes of continued driving and everything goes back to normal ( lite off, message gone and needle to the middle). This happens every time we drive now, and seems to happen every 30 minutes on longer trips..

Today, as my wife is driving to work, every light and dashboard message went on for a few minutes while driving and shortly after, went off.

you did not listen to the message and kept driving overheating??? not good.

from all this, i would start with a leak down test to confirm you have damaged the head gaskets. then you need to find out why it is overheating. a thermostat, low coolant level or water pump are on the top of the list
