Passenger door not closing

I pushed the closure mechanism on the door in. How to I get it to reverse so the door will close. I tried opening and closing the locks with the car running and without it running . Both with the key and the dash switch, no luck.

Hi,

I attached a pic below that shows what I believe is what you are referring to. If that is the lever you pressed, simply hold the door handle in the open position and move the lever back to the open position.
