Parking Brake and RABS Lights on Code 4

OK, Hi all,

Another problem having trouble correcting.... going through the code 4 testing all was checking out till got to number 5 were is says - Measure resistance between anti-lock electronic control module harness connector Pin 6 and chassis ground, there should be a reading of greater than 12 ohms well I get nothing and it says to find and repair the ground short along Circuit 535 (LB/R). Well check wiring and all appears to be good. So if anyone knows were to look for this ground short in the circuit please let me know.

U ARE PUTTING THE VOLT METER ON OHM'S SCALE RIGHT? THEN YOUR PUTTING 1 PROBE ON PIN 6 CONNECTOR ON THE MODULE AND A GOOD GROUND ON THE BODY OR METAL. U ARE GETTING A 0.00 READING?

Yes I had it set at the 200 ohms scale for all resistance tests.

Ok, sounds like your saying that I should have used pin 6 on the module itself and the testing according to Mitchell1 says pin 6 on harness.

OK, So just went and check pin 6 from the control module to ground and still don't get any readings. Also I am not much on the wiring on vehicle I can do it just usually end up in some cases like this on to get it figured out. It is my personal vehicle.

in pic check ground for pin6 harness wire to where I've pointed out to switch below master. if it shows zero on ohms then it' s good til there(harness) then check black wire to ground on fender or battery if that is good then I'd say it's the switch is bad. just looking at the diagram.

OK, Think I did that once or twice, have gone over it so many times. But will check it again once I get a day it's not raining.

OK, Do I leave the harnesses plugged in? For example Pin 6 test Unplugged from Module and ABS Hydrolic Assembly I get reading of 3ohm and according to Mitchell1 it means good. Now with plugged into control unit and ground at hydrolic assembly I get over 18000ohms which according to Mitchell1 is what I should get when pin 6 on module is grounded. And on the ground(blk/wht) wire I get 3ohms and once again according to Mitchell1. Mitchell1 says 3ohms or less is good. So I guess I am a little confused to whether or not the harnesses should be plugged in or not.

ooopps,

Should be 1800ohms and Mitchell1 says if 12ohms or greater

THERE IS ONLY ONE OHMS SCALE JUST REMOVE THE MODULE CONNECTOR AND MEASURE OHMS FROM PIN6 ON THE CONNECTOR TO GROUND KEY ON.,

OK, So I get 0 readings when checking harness pin 6 at module. So I'm taking it since that checks out good and the ground checks out good that the ABS Hydraulic Assembly is the culprit. Also here is a pic of my DVM and OHMS Scale and everything I read said to use the 200 ohms scale

OK, part finally can in and put it on and lights are off.... Thanks for all your input and Mitchell1 needs to correct the test procedure.
