Parking brake making noise?

Hi,

What type of noise? I ask because if the parking brake is released, there shouldn't be any contact with the integral drum on the brake rotor. However, that doesn't mean it couldn't be a broken spring or retainer. (see pic below)

Let me know when you hear it and what it sounds like. Also, let me know if there is anything that you can do to make it stop making noise.
