My parking brake pedal quit holding my SUV.I replaced shoes drums and actuators replaced dust shields while I was there. Still no parking brake.So i replaced both back cables still nothing. Then I replaced intermediate cable and parking brake pedal that came with front cable still nothing. The original cable had a adjusted on it the new one didn't. Even with the adjuster screwed all the way in I have no parking brake.
Every thing seems to be working right with the drums off the Actuators are moving. I readjusted rear shoes to .026 clearance.
I have replaced all parts and am totally confused and frustrated. The parking brake is engaging but not enough to hold the vehicle on a Hill. The pedal is soft and goes all the way to the floor very easily. any help would go a long way. thank you
