Hi,

Has the check engine light come on when running? If so, have the computer scanned to identify diagnostic trouble codes. If it hasn't, the first thing I would check is fuel pump pressure. You may have a weak pump. Here is a link that explains how it is done:

Also, here is a link you may find helpful:

When it stalls, you indicate it starts right back up. If that is incorrect, let me know. Also, if you find there are codes stored or if you can think of any other symptoms, let me know.

Take care,
Joe

Hello, I'm experiencing a similar problem with my 2000 model Pajero io. It stalls unexpectedly while driving. Initially, it would restart after stalling, but now it happens more frequently, and sometimes it won't start at all. Diagnostic tools show no issues (the oil and battery indicators light up when the engine stalls). And we still haven't found the cause.

It sounds like you have a fuel pump or a crankshaft angle sensor going out which neither will throw a code, when the engine stalls I would use starting fluid to see if the engine will run on it to help confirm the fuel pump failure. If it won't run let's check for spark, this video and guide will help us go in the right direction to fix the car:
