Codes P0012/P0013?

Can these codes come from a bit of oil sludge or having a low oil level?

Yep, sure can. I would change the oil and filter and clear the codes and if the codes come back remove the camshaft oil control solenoid and clean the screens. here are the locations in the images below. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
