I am having issues with limp mode (P0700 and P0882) on my van with an interesting twist. If driven long enough for all components to be hot and restarted, it no longer limps for the duration of driving.

I have checked the connectors that I can locate but clearly there is a temperature sensitivity to this issue. Best suggestions what components/connectors/etc., to check would be greatly appreciated.

This sounds like a connection issue, but we need to run through this testing to find out what the possible causes are.

The P0700 is just telling you that you have transmission codes so clearly, we need to focus on the P0882.

Here is a guide that will help with this type of electrical testing:

Please find the testing for this code below and let us know what you find as it will walk you through this step by step.

Let us know if you have questions as you work through this.

Thanks
