Codes P0718, P300 and P302. Changed all the coils and plugs codes went away. Only P0718 remain transmission speed sensor. Had flashing D light and car would not go over 30 mph. Need to know where transmission speed sensor located to change. Thanks

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

That code deals with the input speed sensor. Here are the directions for replacement. The sensor is under the air filter box. The picture attached shows the sensor and its location.

A/T INPUT SHAFT (MAINSHAFT) SPEED SENSOR REPLACEMENT (A/T)
A/T Input Shaft (Mainshaft) Speed Sensor Replacement

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. See: Air Cleaner Housing > Removal and Replacement

2. Disconnect the input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor connector, and remove the input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor (A).

3. Install a new O-ring (B) on the new input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor, then install the input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor.

4. Check the connector for rust, dirt, or oil, then connect the connector securely.

5. Install the air cleaner assembly. See: Air Cleaner Housing > Removal and Replacement

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe

Thanks, but where do I access the instructions on for air filter housing removal? I took off the two front screws but I cannot see what else is holding it. Thanks
