P0344 $7E8 Generic Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Intermittent Bank 1 or Single Sensor?

The error code P0344 on your 2014 Ford Flex indicates an issue with the Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Intermittent in Bank 1 or a Single Sensor.

Here is the location of the sensors so you can check it out or see what needs to be done to fix the problem. Bank 1 is on the right side of the engine as you sit in the driver's seat. If the oil is clean and full and the sensors are okay the camshaft phaser will need to be changed out, which I will included as well if you want to see how the job is done. Did you check the engine oil? You can change both sensors if you want but to me it sounds more like the phaser is worn out or the oil is low or dirty. After changing the sensors clear the codes and let me know what happens.

How is the engine oil?

It had no oil when it turned off on me while on the highway it came to a slow stop. I just replaced the other camshaft position sensor. So, two new ones tried starting it and all it does is my starter just keeps clicking then it starts to smoke the starter is good put a new battery so whatever the starter turns might be seized.

Well, I can crank it by hand but it's really hard to, so I'm assuming the motor needs to be rebuild.
