P0197 EOT sensor/circuit

did you replace the sensor??? the issue is usually the sensor itself

i replaced the sensor
the EOT sensor i got from the dealer is the one installed on the upper thermostat
that is also coolant sensor ??

still check engine on with same code...

no the eot sensor is at the bottom by the filter.

the one at the thermostat is the ect or engine coolant sensor.

everyone here told me that is a pressure switch. same which is near the crank pulley.

it is a sensor which does both jobs

I changed the switch but again same problem p0197
2- on neutral idle position the RPM is not still. car is trying to stall

today i cleaned both catalytic converters and the hesitation on idle is still there

try cleaning the throttle body out real good for the idle.

do you have a real scan tool, not a code reader??

ok, hard to continue without it as info is needed to help find the failure. inspect the wiring closely for breaks and bad connections.

i scanned the car from a workshop with a scanner and this time its just a single code p0021 timing control b2

the smoke become low and it is only when i rev high and release.

water vapors appear on the muffler tip

totally confused ????????

water vapors are normal on the tail pipe. the variable timing code is usually caused by sludge in the oil. suggest flushing out the oil system with a product called sea foam, change the oil, filter and the solenoid for the code.

i changed the solenoid already.
but fed up with miss fire on idle.
no codes detected

if you did not flush the system with the sea foam, you will sludge up the new one and it will fail.
