Crank no start, check engine light on and code P0116

Vehicle won't start. Ect light and check engine light came on. Code is p0116. It just turns over and over but won't fire. If I put my foot on the gas it turns over better. As soon as it's about to start it just shuts off.

hello,

Fault code p0116 is related to engine temperature sensor, possible causes are the sensor connector or the harness, sensor can be defected, last possible cause is engine control unit.

does your scan tool can read live data???
