Code P0113

Finished replacing the oil filter housing and cooler, and all is good, also replaced 2 rocker arms and no more tapping. there is a code p0113, I don't think it was there. trying to see whether I forgot to plug in. where is it on this vehicle? it's the 3.6L.

Hi,

The code you have is related to an open circuit for the bank 1 exhaust cam sensor (sensor 2). I attached a pic below showing where the sensor is located. Check to make sure the wiring is attached, tight, and not corroded or damaged.

Let me know that first. Also, let me know if there are any other codes or if this is the only one. Commonly, the code is set due to excessive resistance in the wiring to it, but it can also be a VVT solenoid or even related to the PCM.

This is an intake air temperature circuit high. so I suspect you are correct that you left it unplugged. I attached the location plug the testing just in case it is not unplugged.

Yes, the sensor inside the boot, checked it and it is plugged, this is a twist type isn't it? I twisted it but it wouldn't come out was going to see if dirty. I will test it out as well. I removed the harness on it and on the VVT several times as well. removed the VVT itself when removing valve covers. I will check and let you know.

Just to confirm the code was P0113 and not P0013? I think Joe posted the info for the P0013 which is the VVT issue. However, if the code is P0113 then this is the IAT info that I posted.

If I am correct then yes, the sensor is a twist type. Take a look at the instructions for this just to make sure you were turning the correct way.

If Joe is correct then you don't need to test the IAT with the info I attached. Thanks
