Code P0037

Hi,
I have the base model and I am getting a check engine light along with the VSA and traction light light all on at the same time. The error code I am getting is a p0037. Should replace the o2 sensor or is the problem deeper?

VSA/traction light will also be setting a code(s) but the free code reading done at parts stores will not read it because they only scan the engine computer as a general rule.

The P0037 can be a faulty sensor heater, or it can be that the wiring to the sensor has a problem and is shorted to ground. For instance it hit the exhaust and melted the insulation, or it chaffed through and is rubbing metal. I would check the wiring first, then change the sensor. Unless you have access to a scan tool that can control the 02 heaters for testing. If you do, reply back and we can go through that.
