P0014 code

Hang in there. We'll figure it out. I need to know exactly what was replaced. Also, you indicated you cleaned the engine off and added oil. Once you determine where the leak is coming from, let me know.

The code, P0014, is an electrical code related to the exhaust camshaft signal performance. In and of itself, the code isn't related to a leak. However, an incorrectly installed camshaft, camshaft actuator, or timing chain can cause this DTC to set.

I have a couple of questions. First, have you checked the oil pressure? There is an internal pressure regulator that prevents the pressure from getting too high. Something like that can cause leak issues.

Next, is there any noise from the timing chain area? If it is stretched, it will cause a variation in the timing and set codes related to the actuators or sensors.

Let me know as much as you can that you feel may help me diagnose the issue. Also, let me know about the location of the leak. If you can get a couple of pics of the leak and upload it for me, it may help.

Okay, I will check the oil pressure. Once I cleared the codes and washed the engine, I now have the code for the intake solenoid. I will also check for any noise at the timing chain area.

Have you had any luck checking things? Also, when you say you washed the engine, did you spray it or anything that could have caused a sensor to get wet or the PCM?
