Welcome to 2CarPros.

I have to say, the code is related to a misalignment of the two camshafts. It could have to do with the secondary timing chain. Has any work recently been done to the vehicle's engine? Also, are there any other codes stored?

If other codes are stored, it will help me direct you on what should be done. If nothing else is stored, chances are the secondary timing chain has stretched enough to cause a misalignment. However, the presence of DTCs P0008 and P0009 along with P0016, P0017, P0018, and P0019 indicates a possible condition with the primary timing chain and the alignment between both intermediate sprockets and the crankshaft. Or, the crankshaft reluctor wheel has moved and is no longer referenced to top dead center (TDC). So, I need to know that.

If you want. I would be happy to provide the directions for replacing the timing chains, tensioners, guides and so on. Just let me know.

Also, let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
