Overheating

My car has been overheating for about four days now. I changed the thermostat three days ago because they told me that was the problem. As I changed the thermostat is continue to get hot and I found a slit in the hoses connected to the t or u connector and I replace the y connector and that fixed that problem but apparently my car is still overheating , remind you at first my heater would just blow cold cold air up until today it blows hot now, but I still have overheating problem and also around may I changed my water pump due to an overheating prior and that fixed that problem.

If I changed all of that already why is my car still overheating. ? Please help

it may be a blown head gasket have it pressure check and chemically tested for that.

Also I did not do the coolant flush before replacing the thermostat can that still be a reason it can overheat ?

Just to add to this one will the car overheat while the car is moving? Are both upper and lower radiator hoses getting too hot to touch? Is your radiator fan working properly? Have you checked the computer for codes?

I flushed it and when I had the water in it and drive it around for ten minutes it stayed down in the right place, but after I drained the water and out the coolant and did the same thing the temperature gauge went back up to heating. Why?

It gets hot after I start driving it for a minute not when I instantly start moving and test both of the hoses are at the same temperature, and yes the radiator fan is working . When I put it on the computer at O'Riely's they said outbreaks the thermostat and a misfire code but did not say which misfire , they told me to get spark plugs but I do not think that is the cause , is it a such thing as you can get a wrong thermostat for your car ?

Yes you can get the wrong one and some cars you can put it in upside down. If the thermostat is working and the radiator fan is coming on the correct temperature then you could have a blown head gasket like hmac300 had mentioned. You can rent the tester from Autozone for free to test the headmaster.
