Good afternoon.

When you turn off the heater, does the engine cool down?

Usually, it is the other way around.

Yes, or turn an AC will help cool down.

Okay, is the cooling fan working at the radiator when it gets hot?

I am wondering if the cooling fan is cutting off and not pulling cool air through the radiator. The fact that it cools down with the AC on tells me that fan is working and cooling the engine.

I was thinking the same, it actually got hot while I was sitting in the drive through. Is the radiator fan supposed to be a two speed motor? The fan is about four months old.

No, it is one speed. It is just turned on by the AC system and the cooling system.
