Got the cover off looking at valve body two solenoids on left side passenger side when standing in front of car three solenoids on the right driver side. which one is for fourth gear?

More than one. Each solenoid controls a hydraulic circuit. However the various gears require more than one circuit to operate.
In fourth gear three solenoids are on two are off. However, there are also other valves inside the valve body that could be the issue.
