More and more frequently I had to make more than one attempt to start my car. It always started, but like I said it began to happen more and more often. My husband initially thought it was the battery (I said it was the starter). so he bought a battery and needless to say he returned it for a starter. Now that he has completed the installation, the vehicle just clicks repetitively when attempting to crank. What could it be? He’s not having any luck on his end so I thought I’d do some investigation.

Good morning,

Can you upload a video of what it sounds like when you try to start it?

It does sound like the battery. Did he check the voltage of the battery while cranking?

Check the battery voltage and let me know what the voltage is at the battery.

The battery is dead. It needs to be charged to 12.6 and see if it starts.
