Opening rear hatch from inside

The rear outside hatch mechanism to my vehicle listed above is broken. Hatch is closed but won't open. Can you show me where the safety release on the inside of the hatch is located?

I'll keep you posted on our repair of the driver's outside door handle mechanism.

LIFTGATE LATCH MANUAL RELEASE PROCEDURE

NOTE:

- If the liftgate cannot be unlocked or opened due to a discharged battery or malfunction in the electrical system, it can be opened using the following procedure.

1. Remove the cover.

CAUTION:

- Wear gloves when performing the procedure. The body edge can injure bare hands.

2. Move the liftgate latch release lever shown in the figure to the right to unlock the liftgate.
