I have recently overhauled my astra 1600 cc feul injected motor due to a valve hitting the top of the piston. After changes all the valves, valve guides, valve stem seals, all gaskets ect. as well as having the head skimmed, the car does has an irregular engine speed in any rev range. (when it idles it idles irraticly and when I am driving it jerks every now and then) I have a suspition that it might be dirty injectors, but cant see how this could be as the car didnt do this before the "knock". When I really put my foot down and increase engine speed quickly the problem seems to go away.
