Hello!
I have the Opel Vectra with automatic transmition. Year of built is 1991, it has 175000 kilometers. It's a great, powerful and comfortable car with a lot of space. But I have a problem with my automatic transmition. When I start the car, on the panel in front appears a blinking "S". On the gearstick I have the button S, so if I push it it tells the car to change gears later...so it's like sport driving. But if I push that button or not...the S is still blinking, and I can't go to sport mode. The 2nd problem with that S is,when I put the gear in D (drive), the car starts in 3rd gear, and it can go on well, so I must shift manually into 1st, then 2nd, then 3rd and finally D, but even then, when I'm in D, I can't get "kickdown". And yes, all the time that S is blinking. That type of Vectras had the Japanese gearbox . Noone know's what's the problem! Even Opel service, here in Croatia. (Yeah, I'm from Croatia...what a poor country). They even connected it with a computer, resseted the chip, but I still have that problem.
Please help!
Thnx in advance!
