1998 Other Opel Models What does a broken cylinder head mean

You will be riding the bus. Maybe they said cracked head or warped usually due to an overheated condition. Did this happen? white smoke from exhaust? water in oil? If so head needs to be pulled also with the milage rings , bearings are all suspect for replacement. Let us know
