Only firing on one side of the engine

Changed coils today because it was running really rough no change after I did. Had a friend look at it and he unplugged all the wires to the coils on the passenger side (coils and plugs 2, 4, 6, 8) and the truck kept running the same. What could cause this? He thinks maybe the PCM?

Hello,

I have seen a shorted injector cause half of the injectors to shut down on the side that is not working lets test the injectors by following this guide:

Here is the engine wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
