Hello,

Had a bad hesitation from a start today. I looked at the dash and my CE light was flashing. Knew this was not good. I went to where I was going, and shut car down, then restarted and the CE light was still flashing.

Came back out and started the car and the CE light was out but the engine was running real rough.

I took it to the auto parts that was on the way home for a free CE light check. he tried but said there was no error code but that I had multiple misfires.
He could do no more than that.

Got home about a half hour later and let engine cool down and then removed the plugs. Three looked good but number one looked as if someone spray painted it with gloss black paint. See photos.

Spark plug charts show this as oil fowled.

Is this something I can take care of?

Thanks

Hi,

I forgot to mention that when I started the car (so I could move it closer to the garage) there was white smoke coming from the exhaust. Very light, like a cold start on a very cold morning, not heavy smoke.

Thanks

Thank You for the answer. I couldn't take the car "breaking" anymore. It was scrapped.

Leased a new one,

Thanks again, I could be back though, my wife has an 08.
