Broken Glove Box

Interior problem 6 cyl Automatic 110000 miles

The handle on my van's glove box broke and I cannot open the glove box. Would like to know how to open the glove box without completing destroying it. The Oldsmobile's have been discontinued and it is hard to find cost-friendly repair parts.

Hello,

Try to reach through and work the internal part of the latch. Here are some diagrams to help show you what you are in for when fixing the glove box.

You may have to work it from side to side and up and down to get it it open to replace the latch.
