My 1998 Olds with 3800 II was stalling last summer it would die while driving and would not start for a while or you had to Pump the gas like crazy to get it to start. Some days it would stall a lot and other not at all. Then all fall and winter in ran and started perfect. Now that the weather is warm again it is stalling and not running well. It start to loose power while driving and if pump the foot feed it will eventually pick up again. I f you stop and go drive it it will die and not start unless you let sit Or pump the gas and even then it will take many attempts before it goes. do you think it is the Fuel pump and if so How do i test the fuel Pump

I don't know about the fuel pump. If it worked all winter, something tells me it's not that. However, here are the directions for checking fuel pump pressure. Check it and let me know what you find. Also, let me know if the check engine light is on.

If that is the code, either you have a vacuum leak, a bad O2 sensor, or a bad temp sensor. THe sensor tells the computer how rich or lean to make the air / fuel mixture based on outside temp and coolant temp. That could be the entire problem.

Have it checked and let me know what you find.
