water pump replacement?

1998 olds aurora 4.0 L. It seems easy enough to replace a leaking water pump, however someone mentioned special tools?? Any advice and directions please?? JeffB

its very easy to do but YES you do need a one special tool to remove the pump out of the housing to remove turns the opposite way good luck
