Oldsmobile Aurora - A/C doesn't blow cold air.

The car is in great condition. My wife inherited it 2 years ago from her great aunt with only 16,000 miles on it. Her aunt had it for 9 yrs. and hardly ever used it. you can buy a bottle of a/c from wal mart and you need the hose kit with it. i dont think it matters what kind of a/c you put in it but if you dont have cold air after you put the bottle of a/c in then you probably have a hole in the lines somewhere

Hi! I had the same problem with my 1987 Olds, and a neighbor gave me some advice which worked! There is a product available from Checkers called, "EZ Chill Auto Air Conditioning Recharge & Retrofit Kit" for about $46. It has a CD with an explanatory video on how to use it. One thing -- go to a mechanic or gas station or shop to have them show you which valve to hook up the freon can to, to make sure you use the kit on the right valve! A nice mechanic will bleed the old freon out, too, for free, just takes a second. I added two cans of freon and my A/C now works. The directions with this product are good. Wear heavy (not really thin) plastic gloves, this would help. Good luck!
