Map sensor location 91 olds 88 ,3800 rng, No seriously I can

:? Howdy, I am having one heck of a time finding the map sensor on the wifes 1991 Olds 88 royale brougham with a 3800 engine. I wish to have it checked to see if it's bad and causing the high idle problem. I have checked extensively for vacuum leaks and have found none. replaced the mass air flow sensor and the one down there by the throttle position sensor that I can never seem to remember the name of. I have not yet replaced the throttle position sensor. I have plugged everything in hopes of finding a vacuum leak but to no avail. The car also likes to cut out when you reach a certain change in altitude as well. Any help would be appreciated, especially if someone could tell me where to find the map sensor, I traced every vacuum line and can't find it. Unless they have it mounted behind the electrical panel or on the cruise control I dunno where it is.

Map sensor should be some were on the intake manifold it uses vacum from the motor to monitor things .I would put it on a scanner and see whats going on . Go to autozone you can rent one for free just have to put a deposit . The connection for the scanner is under the drivers side dash. It would be cheaper then replacing all the sensors. When was the last time you replaced the o2 sensor . And plugs .

Since I have posted this I have changed the fuel pressure regulator and the throttle position sensor. I t has gotten better far as starting and cutting out, still idles a bit high though. i haven't changed the O2 sensor on this car yet. I own a scan tool for the obd2 systems. Unfortunately this car is still obd1. I didn't know auto zone rented the obd1 tool too. But if I remember correctly on the obd1 systems doesn't the light have to be on for it to read a code. Unfortunately I have no light on. Yes it does still work,lol. Found out when I manually dropped the idle as far as it woul let me. I have turned it back up a little since truning it down, It didn't change it a whole lot to begin with, just enough so the engine didn't sound like lifter slap.
