I have a 1971 Cutlass with a 350 rocket engine with 105,000 miles. I tried to change the gaskets on the valve covers and they continue to leak. If I tighten the bolts they break. Should I continue to try the cork or rubber gaskets as both leak. Is silcon better.

Thanks

Silcone works the best for me just make sure they are clean before you use the silicone.
