Hi, I have an 89' Olds Cutlass Supreme, 3.1 V-6 with 153,000 miles. I am experiencing difficult starting. Usually only when I first start the car in the morning is when the problem occurs. After a few tries it will start and then runs fine after that. I am wondering if this could be the IAC motor. I just cleaned out the throttle body, and the tip of the IAC motor. Should there be an 'play' in the shaft of the pintle on the IAC motor? I know not to push in or out on a used IAC motor, but as I was cleaning this gently I noticed some wiggle in the shaft.
