oldsmobile, silhouete, 2000, 104,000, 3400 SFI engine.

We are having trouble with keeping the engine cool while driving below 40-45 miles/ hour. We think it is the thermostat. Where is this located? We have been told that it is located under the throttle body. However, we are not having any luck getting the throttle body to come off. Any help you are willing to give us/ or suggestions, would be very much appreciated.

the throttle body only has 2 bolts that hold it to the intake.you might also need to remove the exhaust manifold crossover pipe to gain acess to the thermostat.
