Dead Battery

1994 Oldsmobile 88 300,000 KM New battery, 14 volts when running, parasitic current at 12ma and yet when left standing for 48 hrs, battery seems completly dead. No remote door operation,no interier lights and no start???? Does anyone have a solution?? :(

OBDII evaporative systems, PCMs, clock and radio memories that may stay active all the the time or for quiet some time after the vehicle is off..
light switches, relays, and generator voltage regulator are some very common causes of parasitic drain that can kill the battery.
How did you mesure the parasitic drain?

I used a multimeter set to ma and disconnected the neg bat. terminal and placed the test set leads between the bat. post and the neg. battery cable.
Thanks for your reply but I may have solved my problem. It looks like the power antena intermitently stayed up when the car was shut off. In the up position it likley was consistently attempting to pull the antenna down and draining the battery. I disconnected the connector at the antenna motor and have not had the problem since.
