I have a 2000 Olds Silhouette with a 3.4 engine. While trying to replace the cv joint I found the replacement one to have 35 splines on the end that slips ino the tranny. My orignal one that I want to replace has 34 spines. They trieded two more different (same part number) to check if first one was improperly marked. They both had 35 splines. We checkd years 1998 through 2002 for Ventures, Montanas, and Silhouettes and they all had the same part number for the left side cv joint. What gives? Do I have some sort of strange van or are there two or more possible cv joints for this van and this outfit doesn't carry but one. How many splines should my cv joint have ?

Make life easy, get a reman shaft, instead of a joint.
