96 oldsmobile cierra

i have a 96 oldsmobile cierra that was running rough and i changed the spark plugs and did routine mantinence. when i got done the oil light came on and didnt shut off i checked my oil filter and it was still dry does this mean i need a new oil pump and if so what should i look for when i have the oil pump out to decide if thats the problem?

What kind of noise is it making when you turn it on? Is it a high pitched squeal, low whine, minor explosion? Also how many miles and size and type of engine you have to proceed. Thanks

And this only happens when you turn on the a/c not any other time? Sounds like your compressor pulley is giving out.
