My Intrigue has a miss at 4000 rpm and also stalls sometimes on take off.

Hi there,
A miss fire in the top end RPM range can often be plug or a ignition lead problem. If you can get a run on an oscilloscope this will give your tech a reading of the ignition voltages and help narrow down and ignition problem.
