1997 Olds Bravada front end clunk

We have a 1997 Olds Bravada that upon acceleration, will sometimes make a clunk when going from first to second gear. It happens more, the more you step on it to accelerate. You can drive it very easy and it won't do it. We are truly not sure if it is the drive shaft .....anyone have any ideas????
